Auntie Anne's is a pretzel brand that started in the US in 1988. In the UK and Ireland it is run by Freshly Baked Ltd, the master franchisee, based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The brand has been franchised in the UK since 2003, and its 50th UK and Ireland store opened in Eastbourne in September 2026. Most of its growth has come through franchised stores and kiosks.
Franchisees run their own store, where pretzels are made by hand throughout the day. Formats include shopping centre units, transport hubs, kiosks, cafés and container units. The franchise package covers site selection, design and construction, full operational training, the supply chain and ongoing support.
