Why we built it
UK franchising is full of brilliant brands and brilliant people. The problem was never a shortage of good things. It was that they were scattered across sixteen different directories, and no two of them showed you the same picture.
Think about someone looking to buy their first franchise. They've got savings, and a decision that will shape the next decade of their life. Right now that research means twenty different platforms, most of which want an email address before they'll tell you anything useful.
It's the same on the other side. As a franchisor you need a solicitor, a lead gen partner, an ops manual writer, a broker. The associations do a genuinely good job of vetting and recommending, and if you're a member you should absolutely use them. But there are hundreds of excellent people working in this sector who sit outside any one list, and until now there was no straightforward way to see them all.
So we built the thing that should already exist. One place, everyone in it, easy to look through.
Who we are
I'm Cat Robson-Scarborough, and this platform is my doing.
I co-founded the franchise side of Your Man With A Van with my husband Dan, and we've grown to 68 branches across the UK in 33 months. That's given me a fairly clear view of what this industry does well and where it makes things harder than they need to be.
We needed one platform for franchising because this industry deserves one. The UK sector is full of good brands and genuinely good people, and they were spread across sixteen directories that all showed a different picture. So I'm a franchisor rather than a media company, I've spent years trying to shop this market myself, and I know what a difference it makes when everything's in one place. That's why the directory is free, and why it always will be.
In July 2026 I was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Global Woman Awards.
