Every town in the UK deserves a professional man with a van. That question — "why can't every town have this?" — is where our franchise started, and it's still the whole point.

Dan Robson-Scarborough started Your Man With A Van in 2010 as a music student who needed a van for his DJ kit. Friends asked for help with their moves. One lawnmower delivery later, a business was born. By 2019 he'd served over 1,000 customers and driven more than 150,000 miles. Then he met Cat, now his Co-Director and the architect of the franchise model.

We launched the franchise in January 2024. Just over two years later there are 65+ branches across the UK, 3,000+ reviews, and a 99% five-star rating across the whole network. That isn't accidental.

We work for you, not the other way around

Most franchises take a percentage of everything you earn. We don't. The monthly fee is fixed, forever. However big you grow, however much you turn over, you'll never pay us more than that fee. Every penny above it is yours.

That single decision changes the maths of the whole thing. We don't punish people for growing — we help them do it.

A graphics and print package. An admin suite with automations built in. Two social posts a day, 365 days a year. Nine setup training sessions, seven-day support, and one-to-ones whenever you need them. Supplier and equipment lists, so you don't buy a single thing you don't need.

And job referrals — from head office and from the network.

You're not doing this on your own

65+ franchisees sit in a live WhatsApp group, sharing work, swapping ideas, and solving each other's problems. Branches partner up. Established owners mentor new ones. "Starting your own business can be scary," as Ben, a multi-branch owner, puts it. "But here you are not alone."

Cat and Dan personally vet every applicant. Not for capital — for character.

Paul joined in November 2023 with a long-wheelbase van and outgrew it in three months. First year: £189k of sales and Hertfordshire New Business of the Year 2024. Second year: just over £350k, six branches, and a Business of the Year finalist spot. "When I first joined I was very worried this wouldn't work. I was wrong."

Erikas started as a driver and owns three branches two years on. Abass went from chasing leads through friends and family to regular work from established branches. Some franchisees drive the van themselves. Others run the branch as operators and contract the physical work out to trusted, branded contractors — no removals experience or vehicle required.
